Biography: Harriett Bouverie Pigott was born around 1840 (or possibly 1829) in County Antrim, Ireland, one of several sisters. Her early life cannot be traced. At an early age, she wrote a few novels, beginning with Walter Chetwynd (1862). By the 1881 census, she lived with two sisters in Chelsea; by the 1901 census, they had moved to Brighton. She never married and died there on 5 March 1912.
