Author: James Thomas Findlay (1875–1927)

Biography: James Thomas Findlay was born on 22 July 1875 in Peterhead, Scotland, the eldest son of William Findlay and his wife Isabella (née Scott). He attended Peterhead Academy, Gordon's College, and Edinburgh University. Findlay worked as a journalist and editor on a wide number of newspapers, including Shields Daily Gazette, Ripon Observer, and the Shipping World. In 1922, he married Mary Katherine Keith. Besides some historical works, he wrote three novels. He died on 31 October 1927 in Aberdeen.
