Author: Arthur Bennett (1862–1931)

Biography: Arthur Bennett was born on 15 November 1862 near Warrington. He was educated at the People's College and Strathmore House School and became an accountant. He was also a prolific author, including two science fiction novels. He edited the weekly Sunrise (1888–1900) and monthly Dawn (1901–1908). In 1895, he married Eliza Annie Richardson and the couple had one son. Bennett took an ardent interest in his local community, serving on the town council and as mayor. He died on 14 December 1931 in Warrington.
