Biography: Mary Frances O'Malley was born in 1847 in Charlton, the daughter of Lt.-General Charles Wright Younghusband, R. A. and his wife Mary (née Jones). In 1871, she married officer George Hunter O'Malley, R. A. and the couple had at least one son. She wrote only the singe novel, A Very Woman (1876). She died on 11 December 1899 in Folkestone. Note: author identified in the Smith, Elder accounts as "Mrs. George O'Malley."
