Biography: Philippa Arabella Jephson was born about 1861 in Ireland, the youngest daughter of Henry Prittie Jephson of Glenbrook, Enniskerry. As a young woman, she wrote three novels beginning with Lord Farleigh (1881). in 1887, she married clergyman and luthier William Foster Boyle and the couple lived at Bushey Park, Enniskerry. One of their daughters was the composer Ina Boyle (1889–1967). It appears Jephson gave up writing after her marriage. She died on 9 April 1932 in Enniskerry.
