Author: James Panton Ham (1818–1902)

Biography: James Panton Ham was born in 1818 in Hackney. He attended Cheshunt College and became a minister in Bristol. In the 1850s, he became a Unitarian and held positions in Manchester and London. In 1845, he married Isabella Paul and the couple had eight children. Beside writing theological works, he also wrote two novels, a play, and collection of poems. He retired in 1888 and died in 1902 in Belfast.
