Author: Frederick H. Moore (1842–1924)

Biography: Frederick Holyoake Moore was born in 1842 in Warwick, the son of John Moore. After completing his education at the Old College he worked for his father as an architect and land agent for several estates. Moore found time to pen two novels which were both well received. Later he served as the assistant secretary under his father of the Warwickshire Agricultural Society before taking over the position in 1888, going on to hold it for the next 31 years. He died on 6 June 1924 at his residence in Warwick.
