Author: Arthur Stanley Jackson (1822–1892)
Biography: Arthur Stanley Jackson was born in 1822 in Ireland, the second son of James Jackson of Armagh. He attended Trinity College Dublin before being called to the bar in 1847 and appointed Queen's Counsel in 1868. That same year he married Anne Sullivan. He enjoyed an extensive practice in the chancery courts. In his early days, he wrote the single novel Amy Paul (1852). He died on 28 March 1892 at home in Dublin.
