Author: Percy Clarke (1861–1948)
Biography: Percy Clarke was born on 14 November 1861 in Wolverhampton, the son of businessman Henry Clarke of Cannon Hall, Hampstead. He earned a LL. B. and practiced as a solicitor. In the early 1880s, he traveled to Australia and wrote a travel book upon his return. In addition, he wrote two novels, a book on medical law, and a memoir of his father. He married in 1887 to Alice Mary Young and the couple had three children. He died on 25 October 1948 in Worthing.
