Author: George Edwin Roberts (1831–1866)
Biography: George Edwin Roberts was born in Kidderminster, the son of a draper. On his father's death, he succeeded to the business. He was a gifted amateur naturalist and geologist who published several works on the subjects. In addition, he wrote several books for the young. He died suddenly at Christmas in 1865.
