Author: Charles Benham (1870–1942)
Biography: Charles Benham was born in 1870 in London, the son of Portuguese ship broker Henry Benham. His siblings include the dramatist Arthur Benham (d. 1895) and actress Estelle Burney. He attended New College, Oxford and was called to the bar. He wrote a single novel, the future war The Fourth Napoleon (1898). Later in life, he co-wrote a history of the Inns of Court. He never married and died on 17 March 1942 in London.
