Biography: Catherine Storr Foster was born on 23 September 1864 in Hilston, the daugher of clergyman William Foster and his wife Hannah. She was the older sister of novelist Florence Foster. Her father died when she was young and thereafter she lived with her widowed mother or other relative. In the 1890s, sometimes in combination with her sister, she began writing fiction. In addition, she contributed to Cornhill Magazine and Temple Bar. She died on 15 February 1946 in Compton, Surrey.
