Author: Charles Olynthus Gregory (1872–1950)
Biography: Charles Olynthus Gregory was born on 17 January 1872 in Calcutta, the son of Armenian barrister Chater Gregory and his wife Catherine (née Gasper). He attended Cambridge where he earned a B.A. and LL.B. in 1895 and was called to the bar. He spent several years in London where he published a novel before returning to Calcutta in the twentieth century. He never married and died on 6 May 1950 in Calcutta.
