Author: Arthur Brown (1826–1903)

Biography: Arthur Brown was born on 23 February 1826 in London, the son of wine merchant George Brown and his wife Martha Agnes. He studied at Cambridge University before being ordained. He served in a number of position including vicar of Dilham with Honing and rector of Catfield. He married and the couple had ten children. In addition to a few miscellaneous works, Brown wrote several historical novels mostly set at wherever he happened to be residing. He died on 4 May 1903 in Catfield.
