Author: Anne Mackenzie (1818–1877)

Biography: Anne Mackenzie was born on 13 August 1818 in Scotland (some sources report a birthdate in 1813 or 1814). She was the sister of Charles Frederick Mackenzie, the missionary bishop of central Africa. She accompanied her brother to his mission in Africa and later supported his work in England. As part of her work, she edited the magazine The Net Cast in Many Waters. She never married and died on 12 February 1877 in Havant, Hampshire.
