Author: David Sime (1847–1916)

Biography: David Sime was born around 1847 in Wick, Caithness, the son of minister James Sime. He attended medical school at the University of Glasgow and the experiences there formed the basis of his only ficiton, In Manbury City (1876), which was reviewed in The Lancet. In addition, he wrote other nonfiction. He was the long-time parochial medical officer in Innellan. Late in life he moved to London where he died on 14 March 1916. He left a widow and at least two sons.
