Author: James Leitch (born 1833)

Biography: James Leitch was born on 13 July 1833 in Pollokshaws, Scotland, the son of James Leitch and his wife Margaret (née Struthers). He was a teacher at and later the rector of the Church of Scotland Normal School in Glasgow. After he left in 1877, he worked at Hillhead Academy. In 1861, he married Margaret Woodburn Kelly and the couple had four daughters. She died in 1884, but his death cannot be traced.
