Author: Henry George Sturkey (1824–1875)

Biography: Henry George Sturkey was born in 1824 in Tregynon, the son of Roger Hudson Devereux Sturkey, an eminent medical practitioner. At the age of twenty, he moved to London where he studied medicine. Sturkey practiced in Cambridgeshire where he was successful. He was the author of several nonfiction works and one novel The Heir of Maberley (1867). He died in 1875.
