Author: Francis Henry Cliffe (1860–1907)
Biography: Francis Henry Cliffe was born in 1860, possibly in Ireland. His father was Charles Henry Cliffe, an Irish officer in the 58th Foot. He wrote collections of poetry, plays, translations of Italian literature, A Manual of Italian Literature (1896), and two novels: Can it be True? (1887) and A Daughter's Grief (1897). He died in 1907.
