Biography: Josepha Heath Gulston was born in 1811 in London, the eldest daughter of Joseph Gulston of Derwydd, Carmarthenshire. Her brother is the novelist Alan James Gulston. In middle age, she turned to writing novels under the pseudonym "Talbot Gwynne" beginning with The School for Fathers (1852). She never married and died on 15 November 1859 in London.
