Author: Thomas Henry Usborne (1810–1869)

Biography: Thomas Henry Usborne was born in 1810 the eldest son of Thomas Usborne (d. 1845) of Sewardstone near Waltham, Essex. He was educated in Gottingen, traveled, and wrote A New Guide to the Levant (1840). Usborne wrote a single novel, the historical The Magician Priest of Avignon (1851) about Louis VIII. He married a Scottish woman and had no children. He died in 1869 in London.
