Biography: Eliza Anne Bayliss was born in 1832 in Broseley, Shropshire, the daughter of engineer and arist John Cox Bayliss and his wife Anne (née Wyke). Her younger brother was the painter Sir Wyke Bayliss (1835–1906). She wrote the single novel Loving Service (1862). Relatively late in life, she married the Rev. Charles Norwood Oliver in 1864 and the couple had four children. According to family lore, the marriage was not a happy one. She died in 1897 in Cheshire.
