Biography: Honora Mary Lysons was born in 1848 in Guildford, Surrey, the only child of Rev. William Henley [Pearson] Jervis and his wife Martha. (The family adopted the name "Jervis" in 1865.). In 1869, she married army officer Edmund Hicks Beach Lysons and the couple had three children. After her marriage, she wrote the single novel A LIfe's Reward (1874) which received a poor review in the Athenaeum. The family evenually moved to Croydon where she died on 13 February 1928. Her obituary said she took an interest in church matters and was a "frequent reciter at entertainments."
