Author: Jane Sexey (born 1838)

Biography: Jane Sexey was born around 1838 in St. Helier, the daughter of George Sexey and his wife Jane. Her father owned a vinery near St. Mary's, Jersey. Her early life cannot be traced. She wrote and illustrated the single novel A Slip in the Fens (1873) published anonymously. It is based in Cambridge, but there is no evidence Sexey visited the place. In 1891, she was living unmarried with her sister in St. Mary. Her death cannot be traced.
