Author: Marion Eliza Weir (1834–1874)

Biography: Marion Eliza Weir was born 10 March 1834 in Edinburgh, the youngest daugher of Matthew Weir, a Writer to the Signet, and his wife Janet (née Spollen). Weir never married. Over the course of her life, she wrote several works of fiction, none of which made much mark with the public. She died on 24 November 1874 in Edinburgh.
