Author: Edith King Hall (1864–1933)

Biography: Edith King Hall was born in Sheerness, the daughter of naval officer Sir William King Hall (1816–1886). Two brothers joined the Royal Navy; her younger sister Ella King Hall ran a literary agency in the twentieth century. In the 1890s, she turned to fiction for a juvenile audience. She never married and died in 1933.
