Author: Arthur James Daniels (1862–1936)
Biography: Arthur James Daniels was born on 16 November 1862 in London, the son of merchant Philip Joseph Daniels and Annie Davies. He became a journalist and a prolific contributor to boys' periodicals. A few of his serial stories were published as books. In 1894, he married Emily Kenward and the couple had two children. Notable, during the First World War, he served as a driver in the Royal Artillery. He died on 13 September 1936 in Chelsea.
