Author: Robert Scott Fittis (1824–1903)
Biography: Robert Scott Fittis was born on 15 November 1824 in Perth. He was apprenticed to the law before becoming a journalist. His main occupation was as a historican and antiquary, writing several works about his native Perth as well as historical fiction. In 1866, he married Catherine Campsie and the couple had a daughter. He died on 10 October 1903 in Perth.
