Biography: Henrietta Lushington was born in 1818 in Weybridge, Surrey, the daughter of Rear-Admiral Henry Prescott. She lived a life of wealth and privilege. As a child, she spent time in Bombay and Newfoundland. In 1841, she married Admiral Sir Stephen Lushington. During her marriage, she wrote a handful of novels as well as poetry and contributions to Fraser's Magazine. She died on 22 September 1875 in Thornton Heath, Surrey.
