Author: Caroline Peachey (1827–1868)
Biography: Caroline Peachey was born on 12 September 1827 in England, the daughter of solicitor James Peachey and his wife Amelia. Her early life cannot be traced. In the 1840s, she became one of the first translators of Hans Christian Andersen. She wrote a few works of fiction herself. She never married and died on 2 January 1868 in London. Her last work was published posthumously.
