Biography: William E. Suter was born around 1812 in London. His early life cannot be traced. At an early age he was an actor on the London stage. He went on to be a successful playwright of dramas and comedies. Notably, he dramatized Braddon's Lady Audley's Secret. Suter also novelized a few of his plays. He married and had at least one child. He died on 7 June 1882 in Sudbury.
