Biography: Georgina Sophia Morgan was born about 1841 in India, the daughter of army officer James Frazer Leslie. She was the granddaugher of army officer George Foss Westcott. In 1864, she married the Presbyterian minister Morgan Morgan and the couple had at least three children. Her husband was the incumbant of St. Peter's in Peterhead. During her marriage, Morgan contributed copiously to magazines and the local press: "her stories, reviews, general articles, and local notes were for a lengthy period a pleasant feature" of the Peterhead Sentinel. In addition, she wrote several novels. After her husband's death, she converted to Roman Catholicism and spent her later years in Rome. She died of pneumonia on 2 March 1907 in Rome.
