Alternate Name(s): Henrietta Charlotte Grey (maiden name)

Biography: Lady Charlotte Law was born in 1798 (not 1799 as many sources report) in London, the daughter of peer George Grey, 6th Earl of Stamford. Clearly, her life was one of wealth and privilege. In 1820, she married clergyman James Thomas Law, the Chancellor of the Diocese of Lichfield, and the couple had four children. Late in life, she "edited" a collection of tales A Winter's Wreath of Illustrative Tales (1861). She died on 25 February 1866 in Clevedon.
