Author: Sidney Corner (1815–1884)
Biography: Sidney Corner was born on 25 July 1815 in Westminster, the son of merchant John Corner and his wife Ann. He trained as an artist and architect which led to the book Rural Churches, Their Histories, Architecture, and Antiquities (1869). He followed with the historical novel The Earl's Path (1875). It doesn't seem he followed these up. Corner never married and lived with his sister Augusta, a professor of music. He died in January 1884 in Wandsworth.
