Author: Parker William Freeland (1833–1890)
Biography: Parker William Freeland was born in 1833 in Coggeshall, the son of clergyman William Coyte Freeland, the rector of Chilton. He trained in the law and became a solicitor then later a broker. He wrote a collection Ida Dalton and Other Stories (1877) but seems to not have followed it up. Freeland married twice and had children with his second wife. He died on 31 January 1890 in Partridge Green, Sussex.
