Author: Samuel Woolcock Christophers (1810–1889)
Biography: Samuel Woolcock Christophers was born on 25 April 1810 in Falmouth. He became a Wesleyan Methodist minister and served in Plymouth, Exeter, Manchester, London, and Liverpool. He also wrote hymns, nonfiction, and one novel From Out the Deeps (1875). In 1839, he married Emma Hart. Christophers died on 14 August 1889 in Formby.
