Author: Henry Samuel Budget Yates (1853–1895)

Biography: Henry Samuel Budget Yates was born in 1853 in Saltaire near Bradford. He worked as a teacher in several Wesleyan schools before attending Richmond Theological College and becoming a minister. As a Methodist minister, he worked in Dumlarton, Leith, Birmingham, and Hull. He left off the ministry to take on the editorship of The Sunday School Chronicle for the Sunday School Union. Over the years, Yates published one work of fiction and one devotional work. Yates died unexpectedly at his London office on 30 January 1895.
