Author: Henry Barton Baker (1835–1906)
Biography: Henry Barton Baker was born in 1835. He worked as a miscellaneous writer of journalism, biography, popular works about the stage, and fiction. His novel Strafford: A Romance is a historical novel about the English Revolution. By the late 1890s he was receiving money from the Royal Literary Fund and the Press Fund, including a £30 pension. He died in 1906.
