Author: Anne Green (born 1812)
Alternate Name(s): Pitcher (maiden name); Mrs. B. R. Green (familiar name)
Biography: Anne Green was born around 1812 in London, the daughter of John Pitcher. Her early life cannot be traced. In 1849, she married the water-color painter Benjamin Richard Green (1808–1876) and the couple had a least one daughter. She wrote the single novel Lord Castleton's Ward (1874) late in life. Though the novel received good reviews, it was not followed up. Her husband died in 1876, but her death cannot be traced. Note: the identity of the author is not certain but fairly likely.
