Author: Richard Seymour Conway Chermside (1823–1867)

Biography: Born in London in 1823, the eldest son of physician Sir Robert Alexander Chermside. He attended the Sorbonne and earned a B. A. (1844) and M. A. (1847). He entered holy orders and served as rector of Wilton. In 1846, he married Emily Dawson. He died in 1867.
