Author: George Loftus Tottenham (1844–1910)
Biography: George Charles Loftus Tottenham was born in 1844, the son of Nicholas Tottenham of Redfort House, Mullingar, Ireland. His niece was the novelist Blanche Loftus Tottenham. He was educated at Harrow and Trinity College, Cambridge. He lived at Glenade, County Leitrim, where he served as justice of the peace and high sheriff. He wrote four novels beginning with the novel of university life Charles Villars at Cambridge (1868). He died in 1910.
