Author: Achilles Daunt
Author: Achilles Daunt (1867–1915)
Biography: Achilles Daunt was born on 26 January 1867 in Cork, the son of the Very Rev. Achilles Daunt, the Dean of Cork. He was educated at Marlborough and Oxford. He entered holy orders and held positions as rector of Broome, curate of Sherborne, and vicar of Charlton Horethorne. Seemingly, he also found time to write adventure fiction, though none of his obituaries note this occupation. He married twice and had two sons. He died on 4 October 1915 in Wincanton of heart disease.
