Biography: George Theodosius Boughton Kyngdon was born on 6 May 1821 in Bodmin, the son of Richard Kyngdon and his wife Jane. He attend Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge earning an M.A. before being ordained. He served in Norfolk and Hampshire before spending a decade in New Zealand (1850–1861). On his return to England, he served in Devon and Cornwall. Kyngdon wrote the single science fiction novel Skyward and Earthward (1875) under the pseudonym "Arthur Penrice." He is also notable as a contributor to the Oxford English Dictionary. He was twice married. He died on 4 January 1916 near Newquay.
