Author: Henry Edward Curran (1862–1941)
Biography: Henry Edward Curran was born on 21 October 1862 in Liverpool, the son of coachman James Curran and his wife Mary. Presumably gifted, he began life as a stationer before taking a position as librarian for the Liverpool Public Libraries. In 1889, he married Annie Towers and the couple had one son. He wrote the single novel A Woman's Witchery (1899) which attacted some attention due to its authorship by a librarian. He died on 26 July 1941 in Wallasey.
