Author: Mary Susanna Lee (1846–1908)

Biography: Mary Susanna Lee was born in 1846 in London, the eldest daughter of surgeon Henry Boyle Lee and his wife Anne Emilia. In childhood, the family moved to Malling, Kent. From a young age she wrote fiction, often assisted by her younger sister Catherine Harriet Lee (1847–1914). In addition, she contributed to the Monthly Packet. She never married and died on 31 July 1908 in Bishop's Stortford.
