Author: Albert Newling Homer (1862–1929)

Biography: Albert Newling Homer was born in 1862 in Stone, the son of farmer and land agent William Homer. His early life cannot be traced. In 1884, he married Mary E. Smith and the couple had one daughter. Homer travelled frequently, often alone, visiting India and Argentina (where he seemed to have business interests) among other places. He combined this with a successful career as an author, writing several novels, a few plays, and a travel book. He died on 23 February 1929 in Steyning.
